I was fortunate to spend a few hours today with Chris Davis of New England Falconry and some of his Harris Hawks in the woods of North Amherst Ma.
There was a thick layer of leaves on the ground as well as in the trees, which made it difficult for the birds to see their prey.
Chris brought out two birds.
A 3 year old male and a 1 year old female.
Although they didn’t make any kills today, I look forward to the next hunt with Chris and New England Falconry.
Hopefully headed back out tomorrow to see the birds interact with a class from U Mass.
Thanks Chris!
