In the words of Mandy and Lany_
It started with a wink…Mandy winked at Lany, thanks to the magical powers of match.com and to Mandy’s delight, Lany winked back (how could Lany resist?). After a few email exchanges, the two met at the Loew’s in downtown Boston on a mild 2007 November night for a gratis screening of ‘Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium’. And in a fortunate twist of plans, the time was printed incorrectly on Mandy’s passes. What do you do when you’re at a movie theater and the film you planned to see already ran? Well, for Mandy and Lany, it was to walk three and a half miles to get nachos in Cambridge. And they’ve been enjoying nachos ever since…
The couple married at the Codman House in Lincoln, Ma.
Mandy is an avid gardener and has enjoyed working a plot at the Codman Community Farms nearby and thought this would be the perfect spot for the two of them to be married.
Although they prepared only a thin wall apart, the couple wanted to wait to see each other for the first time in the garden of the Estate.
After a first look in the garden.
Although rain threatened early in the day, the sun held out for the couple and they were able to have a beautiful ceremony on the lawn.
Sara Theriault, a friend of both Mandy and Lany filed for a one day marriage license and was able to marry the brides.
Mandy readies to place the ring on Lany’s finger below.
Chive Sustainable Events designed and catered the reception at the Codman Carriage House adjacent to the ceremony.
The newlyweds danced the night away.
Congrats Mandy and Lany!
