I recently photographed the wedding of Melinda Rubinfeld and Jonathan Karelitz at the Royal Sonesta Hotel in Cambridge, Ma.
Jonathan’s parents look on as he prepares himself for the day.
Melinda takes a look at herself in her wedding gown from Priscilla of Boston.
The couple had their first look along the Charles River with the Boston skyline in the background.
To take advantage of the early setting sun, we shot photos before the wedding ceremony took place. This also helped them not to miss a minute of mingling with their guests at the cocktail hour.
Melinda and her bridesmaids along the Charles River.
Jonathan and his groomsmen.
Minutes before the ceremony, and as all of the guests are taking their seats, close family gathered to witness the signing of the Ketubah, a jewish marriage certificate. Rabbi Herman Blumberg officiated the wedding, and was also present at both Melinda and Jonathan’s Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s years ago.
With hundreds of friends and family in attendance, the couple stood under the chuppah created by Ellen Congdon and exchanged vows.
Happily married, they make their way back down the isle.
The reception began with a first dance by the couple and ended with hundreds on the dance floor.
Hoisted up above the crowd, the couple dances the hora.
Melinda shares a dance with her father.
Jonathan’s brothers blew everyone away with an unbelievable best men speech.
Everyone danced the night away to the sounds of Soho from Night Shift Entertainment.
Congrats Melinda and Jonathan, Hope your honeymoon in Hawaii was a blast!
